Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the “TikTok Quality Method by Luke” Chrome extension (“the extension”, “we”) handles, how it is used, and your choices. By installing and using the extension you agree to this policy.

What the extension does

The extension helps you prepare and post videos to TikTok, view statistics for TikTok accounts and videos, and download videos. To do this it reads data from TikTok while you are signed in to TikTok in your browser.

Information we handle

• Your TikTok username. Used to unlock the extension (access verification) and to register your use of the extension. See “Data we send to our server” below.
• Public TikTok profile and video statistics that you view (for example follower counts, likes, views, comments, and similar public metrics). These are read from TikTok and shown to you inside the extension.
• Extension settings and local activity counters (such as your chosen theme and the number of videos you have patched or uploaded).

Where your data is stored

The information above is stored locally on your device using the browser’s extension storage (chrome.storage.local). It is not shared with anyone except as described in the next section.

Data we send to our server

When you verify access and when you post a video through the extension, the extension sends your TikTok username together with a short action label (for example register or upload) to our backend, hosted on Google Apps Script (script.google.com). This is used only to operate the access/registration system and to keep basic usage counts. We do not send your password, your videos, your messages, or your browsing history.

Information we do NOT collect

• Passwords or login credentials
• Payment or financial information
• The content of your private messages
• Your general web browsing history
• Your precise location

Third parties

• TikTok. The extension reads data from TikTok pages and TikTok’s own API while you are signed in. Your use of TikTok is governed by TikTok’s own privacy policy.
• Google (Apps Script). Our backend runs on Google Apps Script, which receives the username and action label described above.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with any other third parties or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending purposes.

Data retention and deletion

Locally stored data stays on your device until you clear it. You can remove all local data at any time using the extension’s Reset option (Settings) or by uninstalling the extension. To request deletion of the username and usage counts held on our server, contact us at the address below.

Children

The extension is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
